The Vignelli Cube is made of single piece polyethylene, making it suitable for indoors and out. The cube can be used as a stool or side table, and is equally at home next to a pool, in an office space, on a tennis or pickleball court, or at a dining table. It is part of the Vignelli indoor-outdoor collection which includes a multi-use cube, table, rocker, and benches. This hollow cube weighs 15 pounds, but sand can be added for even more wind resistance, through the hole with removable plug on the underside.
The cube was designed in 2005 by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, known for their ability to bring clarity and timelessness to everything they create. According to the Vignellis, design should be semantically correct, syntactically consistent, pragmatically understandable, visually powerful, Intellectually elegant, and timeless.
