Midgard Licht has manufactured adjustable lighting in Auma, Germany since 1919, when engineer Curt Fischer patented the first movable electric luminaire. The Bauhaus adopted his designs almost immediately — the TYP 113 lit Walter Gropius’s Meisterhaus and the Dessau metal workshop through the 1920s.
Rarify carries Midgard’s archive lamps alongside its contemporary collaborations with Stefan Diez, Sebastian Herkner and others, including the award-winning AYNO lamp.
