Kartell

Architect and designer Anna Castelli Ferrieri co-founded Kartell 1949 in Milan with her husband, who was a chemical engineer. She and the company are famously credited with revolutionizing the use of plastics as a material for furniture and industrial design. Today, Kartell produces collectible, high-design Italian furniture from bio-plastics and recycled materials. They work with some of the world's most important designers.
