Vertigo Nova Wall Lamp
Made by Petite Friture
The Vertigo Nova Wall Lamp is a vast veil of graphic lines mounted atop a sphere of handblown glass uses built-in LED technology to emit a soft light. Its name derived from a star, the lamp sculpture intrigues with its lines and seduces with its unique style. Vertigo Nova quivers as the geometric curve of the fiberglass hoop. Installed by hand by qualified French artisans and held delicately but firmly in place by taught ribbons, reacts to the lightest of breezes. A line that comes in black or white, for two subtly different moods.
“Vertigo Nova is born of the desire to work and shape light as an object, to soften and mold it. Here, the technical prowess lies in the mysterious sand-blasted glass. The purely functional is transformed into something beautiful, where only that which is essential remains: a light and delicate veil floating between two worlds”.
The Vertigo Collection was designed by French designer Constance Guisset. In 2007 she graduated from ENSCI - Les Ateliers and founded her studio. She quickly earned recognition through winning prizes such as the Grand Prix du Design de la ville de Paris in 2008, the public prize at the Design Parade in Villa Noailles 2009, and finally in 2010 both the designer of the year at Maison et Objet, and the Audi Talent Awards. Her different research paths have led her to work with Petite Friture, Fontana Arte and Molenti amongst others for product design.
