Fiord is a versatile woollen upholstery textile with a subtle three-dimensional look. Originally designed by Norwegian designer Tone Barnung, it comes in refreshed colours created in collaboration with Louise Sigvardt.
The construction of Fiord combines a mélange yarn with a unicoloured yarn that creates pearl-like dots that play across the textile’s surface. This sophisticated expression reflects a key source of inspiration behind the design: moonlight glittering like pearls on the rippling waters of a Norwegian fjord.

The very durable upholstery fabric was originally designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel, and is now available in a version with an updated colour scale: Hallingdal 65. Hallingdal 65 is made of wool and viscose, which complement each other well: the wool provides excellent durability and flexibility, whilst the viscose adds brilliance and depth to the colour. Both materials are dyed before they are spun, which highlights the rich texture of the fabric.

Compact, comfortable and extremely smooth, Divina Melange 3 expresses colours and the shape of furniture particularly well. It is constructed by weaving the yarn in a simple binding after which it is subjected to pressure and high temperatures. This milling process, which is often associated with fine tailoring, transforms the material from coarse to a soft and uniform, felt-like surface.

Divina is a full-cloth product, which means that it is manufactured by weaving the yarn in a coarse linen hose casing, after which, it is subjected to mechanical processing using very high temperatures, at the same time as it is being coloured. This creates a situation where the surface becomes smooth, directionless and uniform in a manner very similar to the properties of felt.

A curled bouclé fabric, Elle drapes and curves around furniture like an elegant designer coat. The spun bouclé yarn created by blending wool, viscose and acrylic gives the surface a soft tactility. During the subsequent dying the yarns take the colour differently, creating captivating shifts within the same tones. This effect and a slight sheen from the acrylic blend bring life to the voluminous textured bouclé surface.
Safire
Composition: 43% viscose 17% polyacrylic 15% new wool 9% cotton 8% polyester 8% linen
Safire’s coarse surface structure gives a subtle handwoven appearance that is both unique and dynamic, adding a special and unique dimension to this upholstery fabric. The thick boucle and chenille yarns contribute to its wooly handle and soft appeal but also gives a vibrant two-tone effect. The colour palette includes both quiet natural shades and strong, bold combinations.
Karakorum

A bouclé that intertwines wool and viscose in an uneven texture of loops and curls, inspired by precious astrakhan furs. With its soft and bulky hand-feel, this fabric is ideal for upholstery destined for an intensive use.

Gentle

Gentle is constructed by knitting loops through a base layer and subsequently shearing the surface.
It has a particularly opulent feel as it is laminated on a 2mm PU foam with a polyester scrim backing. This ensures a voluminous expression that sets it apart from traditional woven velvets.
Suitable for public and private spaces, Gentle offers excellent stretchability due to its knitted construction.
