Description
This is a 1960s Rosewood Bench or Coffee Table, designed by Torbjorn Afdal and produced by Mellemstrands Mobelfabrik in Norway. The fine grain of the rosewood veneer on this piece is exquisite. It would serve beautifully as a perch in a foyer, or could alternately be utilized as a low coffee table.
The piece measures 15.625 inches long, 59.5 inches wide, and 13.5 inches high. The wood is in excellent condition, having been freshly oiled and conditioned. The base has a few small scuffs. It also recently had a small repair to the corner, but was done by a master woodworker and came out beautifully. Overall, it remains in very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
