Platner Lounge Chairs No. 1715L
By Warren Platner for Knoll
Description
This is a pair of Platner Lounge Chairs, model 1715L, initially designed by Warren Platner for Knoll in 1966. These particular examples date to the 1960s, and the listed price includes the pair of chairs. The frames of these chairs are made from steel rods with a patinated bronze finish, and the seats are newly upholstered in a dark charcoal grey Divina Melange fabric by Kvadrat. The upholstery work was beautifully done.
Each chair measures 25.5 inches deep, 36.25 inches wide, and 30.25 inches tall. Their seat height is 18.5 inches. The frame’s bronzed finish has some patina, and we have left them in as-found condition. The new upholstery is pristine. Overall, these chairs are in excellent vintage condition with some signs of age apparent. Please see photos.
