The Noboru Step Ladder takes its name from the Japanese word ‘to climb’. The minimalist and multifunctional Noboru Step Ladder works wonderfully as a seat, ladder or a side table. Crafted in solid FSC™-certified oak, it channels the perfect balance of Japanese and Scandinavian sensibilities.
Noboru was designed by MSDS, a Canadian design studio founded in 2013 by Jessica Nakanishi and Jonathan Sabine. They prioritise resourcefulness, practicality, and materiality in their work, and strive to find a core idea to guide each project. Their aim is to create objects and spaces that acknowledge the past, respond authentically to the present, and point to a viable future, while adhering to the principles of good design and craftsmanship.

Newly made items ship from a warehouse or are made-to-order. There may be a lead time depending on the piece. We'll keep you updated if there is.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.
