Description

This is a Nelson Daybed, initially designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in 1950. This particular piece is an early production, and dates to ca. 1955. It has a body and tapered legs made of solid ebonized walnut, and has steel springs in the seat for added comfort. It has new high-density foam cushions and back bolsters, and the piece has been freshly reupholstered in a blue Kvadrat Divina Melange fabric.

The daybed measures 33 inches deep, 75 inches wide, and is 27.25 inches high. It has a seat height of 15.25 inches. We have left the frame in its original, untouched condition and there are scrapes and scuffs apparent. The legs show several scratches. The upholstery is brand new and is in pristine condition. Overall, this important Nelson Daybed is in very good condition. Please see photos.

You can see estimated lead times under "Delivery", above.

Newly made items ship from a warehouse or are made-to-order. There may be a lead time depending on the piece. We'll keep you updated if there is.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.
