Louis Poulsen is an historically important manufacturer of lighting, with a close connection to prominent Danish designers such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Vilhelm Lauritzen and Verner Panton. Although Louis Poulsen was founded in 1874, the company still collaborates with today's most innovative designers such as Nendo and GamFratesi. Poulsen is most known for its famous Artichoke lamps, the AJ series of lamps by Arne Jacobsen, the Panthella 160 Portable Lamp and the iconic PH Pendant Lamps by Poul Henningsen, all regarded as masterworks of lighting design history.
