Description
This is a set of 8 Model B5 side chairs, originally designed by Marcel Breuer in 1926. This particular set dates to the 1970s. The listed price includes the set of eight. Their simple design incorporates a tubular bent chromed-steel frame with a tan leather seat and back. They have exposed stitching at the seams as a nice design detail. They may have been produced by Tecta, though uncertain.
Each chair measures 18 inches long, 18 inches wide and 34 inches high. They have a seat height of 18.75 inches. The chromed-steel frames remain lustrous and present beautifully. 3 of the chairs have cracks in the corrugated liner underneath their seats, but the leather remains intact and undamaged. It does not compromise the integrity of the seat as far as we can tell. There are some scuffs to the edges, and there are some minor scratches to the bottom foot rails. Overall, these chairs are in good condition with light wear. Please see photos.
