Description
This is a pair of Lotus Chairs, Model 115-LF, designed by Erwine & Estelle Laverne for Laverne International in 1958. The design was part of Laverne’s Fiberglass Group. The listed price includes the pair. The chairs feature molded fiberglass seats, having a smooth interior and a textured exterior, and have sculptural steel bases with a white enameled finish. The shape of the seat is meant to resemble a lotus flower.
Each chair measures 22.5 inches long, 24.25 inches wide, and is 31 inches high. They have a seat height of 18 inches. These chairs have some fading to the finish on both the seats and the bases. They’ve adopted more of an off-white hue from age. There are some nicks and scratches (normal wear) on the bases. Overall, these chairs are in very good vintage condition with age apparent.
