George Nelson Walnut and Steel Headboards
By George Nelson for Herman Miller
Description
This is a pair of walnut and steel frame twin headboards, designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller in the 1950s. The walnut is finished on both sides, and the outer steel frames are enameled in white. These are part of George Nelson's Steel Frame series, introduced in 1954.
Each headboard measures 2 inches deep, 38 inches wide and 30 inches high. The walnut has been properly maintained throughout its lifetime, and appears to be in nice original condition. The enameled steel has some light scratches and scuffs. Overall, these headboards are in very good condition with light wear. Please see photos.
