Floating Top Side Table, Model 501
Description
This is a Rectangular Floating Top Side or End Table, Model 501, designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Daverkosen in 1956. The piece was produced in Denmark in the 1950s, and was originally retailed by John Stuart. It features solid teak construction, and has a staved knife edge top. The top floats on small brass orbs that connect to the sculptural base. There is a lower shelf that is attached to the base, and there is a John Stuart medallion that is present on the underside of the piece..
This table measures 19.5 inches long, 30 inches wide, and 22 inches high. There is patina on the wood, and there are some scratches and scuffs on the surface tops and on the legs. Overall, this table is in good vintage condition. Please see photos.

Yes, in-stock items can often be delivered to NYC quickly by our skilled couriers. Pieces are delivered by hand to your residence. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for items stocked at our warehouse in PA.
