Description
The Felt Chair is an explosion of vitality. It has a reinforced fiberglass shell that can be varnished with a glossy finish in a vast array of colors: orange, red, blue, white or black. The rear back support is made of natural polished aluminum.
The chair is suitable for outdoor use.
The Felt Chair was designed by Australian born designer, Marc Newson. Newson has been described as one of the most influential designers of his generation. He has worked across a wide range of disciplines, and his clients include some of the best-known and most prestigious brands, spanning diverse sectors from manufacturing and technology to transportation, fashion and luxury goods. He is the only designer represented by the Gagosian Gallery, and leading museums around the world have hosted solo retrospective exhibitions of his design work.
The Cappellini catalogue features some of Newson’s most iconic furniture designs, including the Embryo Chair, Felt Chair and Orgone Lounge and Table. The collection also includes the Riga Desk, Wooden Chair, Hangman clothes rack, Newson Vase and its update, the Glass Newson Vase. The Wooden Chair and Orgone Lounge and Table were some of Newson’s first designs to be put into production and have been manufactured by Cappellini since 1989.

Newly made items ship from a warehouse or are made-to-order. There may be a lead time depending on the piece. We'll keep you updated if there is.
Vintage items are all in-stock and ready to ship.

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.
Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.
Freight shipments can take longer and are more costly than regular mail, but help to prevent damage to furniture during delivery.
