Description
The three-seater sofa is a ‘proper’ sofa in the sense that there is room for either a small family, or a little nap along its length. Still, Erik Ole Jørgensen’s J149 has the light-and-airy styling that is never pretentious or ponderous. With its iconic design and distinctive lines, it epitomises the qualities that have been a signature of Danish furniture design for generations. Erik Ole Jørgensen’s range of spoke-back furniture is from 1978 and makes clear references to the other great designers who laid the foundations of FDB Møbler. Erik Ole Jørgensen had a background as both an upholsterer and a furniture designer, and perhaps this is why the interaction between cushions and furniture is especially successful here.

What should I expect when ordering an item with lead time?
Estimated lead times are shown under "Delivery", above. Read our shipping policy to learn more.
Lead times are estimated based on previous production times from our manufacturing partners, but lead times can change depending on availability and circumstances outside of Rarify's control.
For example: if purchasing an imported or made-to-order product, international shipping and import times depend on many factors. This includes US customs operations, global trade circumstances, and production facilities in other countries.
We will try to fulfill your order as quickly as possible. Our international freight forwarding partners help to take burden off of you during the process of importing; we appreciate your patience while your order is fulfilled.
Purchasing made-to-order is one of the most responsible ways to purchase, as it helps prevent furniture waste on our planet.
Vintage items are typically in-stock in the USA and ready to ship once purchased.
How much does shipping cost?
To see shipping costs, add an item to your cart and proceed to checkout. You'll be able to see costs there.
- Small items like lamps typically cost under $99 to ship.
- Larger items including furniture often ship on a truck via Freight. Our furniture shippers professionally arrange and manage all Freight shipments.
- Freight costs often range between $100 and $999 for furniture.
- Very large and fragile items can cost more, depending on the ship-to-address.
- Freight costs may include insurance.
Do you deliver to NYC?
Yes, in-stock items can often be delivered to NYC quickly by our skilled couriers. Pieces are delivered by hand to your residence. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for items stocked at our warehouse in PA.
What is Freight shipping?
Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.
Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.
Freight shipments can take longer and are more costly than regular mail, but help to prevent damage to furniture during delivery.
Is everything authentic?
Rarify's entire collection is evaluated by credentialed experts for authenticity. We strive to only list an item for sale if we're certain it's authentic. Our team reviews every piece.
