The F518 Lounge Chair, designed by Geoffrey D. Harcourt, is part of the iconic F500 series by Artifort and stands as a refined expression of mid-century modern design. The series emerged from Harcourt’s vision of informal, intuitive lounging, with each element carefully shaped around the natural posture of the human body. Originally introduced in 1979 and reissued in 2026 alongside the related F522 Lounge Chair, the F518 embodies this philosophy in a bold yet balanced sculptural form, defined by its deep, enveloping seat and ergonomically contoured high-back shell.
The generously proportioned shell offers exceptional comfort and invites prolonged relaxation. The chair is constructed around a moulded beechwood shell, layered with a firm base of cut foam and a softer comfort top layer, creating a seating experience that is both supportive and relaxed. Three carefully upholstered sections, available in high-quality fabric or leather, enhance the tactile richness of the design while preserving the clarity of its sculptural lines. Do you deliver to NYC?
Yes, in-stock items can often be delivered to NYC quickly by our skilled couriers. Pieces are delivered by hand to your residence. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for items stocked at our warehouse in PA.
