Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Executive Chair, Model EA420
Description
This is an Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Executive Chair, Model EA420, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1969. This example dates to 1975. The design features a cast aluminum frame with an adjustable four-star base, and the chair rolls on high-quality casters. It has soft black leather upholstery on the seat and back, and it has a black fabric back. Both the seat and the back have plush cushions that are 2 inches thick.
The chair measures 23 inches deep, 23 inches wide, and is 40.25 inches high. It has a minimum seat height of 19.25 inches, and is adjustable to 22.5 inches. It has a seat depth of 16.5 inches. The leather has some patina present, and the arms show some scuffs and scratches. Overall, this chair is in good vintage condition with some signs of use. Please see photos.
