Proof of authenticity is one of the most important ways to help sell your design investment for more on the secondary market.

Certificates of Authenticity help to reduce the depreciation of collectible furniture, art and lighting by creating a official, shared record of origin, otherwise known as provenance.

Each official Rarify Certificate of Authenticity is personalized.

Our certificate includes an encrypted, digital record protected from editing, and an optional physical paper copy, with the following information:

    • Signature of a credentialed design historian and our CEO
    • Date of purchase
    • Buyer and seller names
    • Order confirmation number
    • Description of the item, its condition and its value at time of purchase

    The following is also included whenever applicable:

      • Year or era of production
        • Manufacturer information
          • Letter of existing provenance
            • Available documentation or images supporting existing provenance

              Do you deliver to NYC?

              Yes, in-stock items can often be delivered to NYC quickly by our skilled couriers. Pieces are delivered by hand to your residence. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for items stocked at our warehouse in PA.

              How much does shipping cost?

              To see shipping costs, add an item to your cart and proceed to checkout. You'll be able to see costs there.

              • Small items like lamps typically cost under $99 to ship.
              • Larger items including furniture often ship on a truck via Freight. Our furniture shippers professionally arrange and manage all Freight shipments.
              • Freight costs often range between $100 and $999 for furniture.
              • Very large and fragile items can cost more, depending on the ship-to-address.
              • Freight costs may include insurance.

              When do orders ship?

              You can see estimated lead times under "Delivery", above.

              Newly made items ship from a warehouse or are made-to-order. There may be a lead time depending on the piece. We'll keep you updated if there is.

              Vintage items are all in-stock and ready to ship.

              What is Freight shipping?

              Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.

              Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.

              Freight shipments can take longer and are more costly than regular mail, but help to prevent damage to furniture during delivery.

              Is everything authentic?

              Rarify's entire collection is evaluated by credentialed experts for authenticity. We strive to only list an item for sale if we're certain it's authentic. Our team reviews every piece.

              Can I customize a USM piece?

              Yes; our team is an Authorized Dealer for USM Modular Furniture, trained to design custom USM Haller furniture. Please use the configurator or contact us.

              Can I customize upholstery or finishes?

              Absolutely. Most pieces can be customized. Select from the available product options, or contact us to inquire.
