Description

Listed for sale is a very rare and early Eames for Herman Miller square DTW-4 dining table with circular wood dowel legs. This example was produced after the straight-legged DTW was taken out of production in 1950. This was produced from 1950-1957 by Herman Miller. This particular table has a white laminate top and black legs. It has a unique x-bracing to it, which could imply either prototypical production or a retrofit by the original owner to stabilize the legs further. Regardless, it adds to the provenance and historical importance of this unique piece. Solid original examples of the DTW-4 are hugely difficult to find. Writing underneath the table suggests that this was used in an office setting originally and was later purchased from a Pittsburgh Estate, where this was used as a dining table. It measures 34 inches wide by 34 inches deep and is 28.5 inches tall.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.
