Do you deliver to NYC?

Yes, in-stock items can often be delivered to NYC quickly by our skilled couriers. Pieces are delivered by hand to your residence. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for items stocked at our warehouse in PA.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck. Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection. Freight shipments can take longer and are more costly than regular mail, but help to prevent damage to furniture during delivery.

The very durable upholstery fabric was originally designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel, and is now available in a version with an updated colour scale: Hallingdal 65. Hallingdal 65 is made of wool and viscose, which complement each other well: the wool provides excellent durability and flexibility, whilst the viscose adds brilliance and depth to the colour. Both materials are dyed before they are spun, which highlights the rich texture of the fabric.

The textile derives its softness and volume from the thick, pure woollen yarn used in the weft, specially developed by Innvik, Kvadrat’s weaving mill in Norway. It is woven with a single colour of this thick yarn, alongside two colours of a finer yarn in the warp, using a unique construction that imitates a traditional double Ikat weave on an industrial scale. Due to its innovative construction, Serpentine offers a versatile colour scheme and a strong functional performance.
