Description
This is an Apple Macintosh SE FD-HD computer on a custom base, originally introduced by Apple Computer, Inc. in 1989. The model was designed by the Apple Industrial Design Group using the iconic Snow White design language. The classic design features compact, all-in-one beige housing with a built-in 9-inch monochrome monitor. It is encased in a custom clear Lucite box, and it sits atop a tall, minimalist pedestal column crafted from solid walnut wood.
The listed price includes the computer, the Lucite display frame and the wooden pedestal base to be sold together as a single display lot.
The wooden stand measures 11 inches wide by 11 inches deep by 30 inches high. The Lucite frame measures 12 inches deep by 12 inches wide and is 16 inches high. The computer itself measures 10.5 inches deep, 9.5 inches wide and 13 inches high. The piece shows cosmetic wear consistent with previous use and age. The lucite cover has scratches on each of its sides, and is currently held together with tape. The wooden stand has some scuffs and scratches along its surface. The vintage plastic computer housing shows light scuffs and minor discoloration, typical for electronics of its era. The internal electronic components have not been tested for functionality. Overall, this assembly is in fair to good vintage condition. Please see photos.
