Description
This is a handsome pair of Series 455 Swivel Lounge Chairs, initially designed by Gardner Leaver and John Portman for Steelcase in 1971. This pair dates to 1998, and the listed price includes the pair. They feature heavy nickel-plated steel frames, and retain their original dark brown leather upholstery. They are substantial chairs, and are extremely well-made.
Each chair measures 32.5 inches deep, 30.5 inches wide, and is 30 inches high. They have a seat height of 18 inches. There are some scratches on the leather, and some small tears on the left arm of one piece (which we can repair prior to shipping if desired). The Steelcase labels remain intact on the frames. Overall, this pair of chairs is in very good condition. Please see photos.
