Les Arcs Stacking Chairs (1960s)
Made by Les Arcs Ski Resort
Listed for sale is a set of Charlotte Perriand stacking chairs, designed for Les Arcs ski resort in France. This gorgeous set of six chairs came from a notable estate in North Carolina, along with some special pieces from Laverne and Venini. These chairs are hugely significant in the context of 20th century design, as they graced the interior of this important architectural project. Charlotte Perriand began designing the project at Les Arcs in 1967 and it continued until 1982. These were likely produced in the late 1960's to early 1970's. The cognac leather shows a lovely patina and frames are nicely worn in as well.
