The work on Niels Diffrient forever changed the pursuit of ergonomics in furniture design. To many of his contemporaries, Diffrient was considered a master, who practiced rigorously for nearly 6 decades. The American manufacturer Humanscale is arguably most closely associated with his body of work, given their collaborations through the Freedom Chair, among many others. 

On October 9th, Rarify will host Humanscale and their team to take us and our guests through the design development and engineering behind their newest launch, the Diffrient Lounge, which incorporates the same ergonomic internationality into a new domain for the company.

We’ll be joined by part of the Industrial Design and Engineering team from Humanscale.
