Description

Listed for sale is a notable and very rare Nicos Zographos CH28 ribbon three-seater sofa in brown leather, produced by Nicos Zographos Designs Inc. The custom fabricate and polished stainless steel legs have a nice patina and the leather is clean and pliable. This example represents some of the early design work from Zographos, taking gestures from Mies Van Der Rohe and other early modernists. Unlike the Barcelona chair for instance, the legs are more robust solid stainless and take a ribbon form, rather than an X. This also features a one-piece curved seat. This is an early and original example. The sofa shows some wear from use and a lovely patina. While this design or more often found in the form of a lounge chair, this three-seat example is far more rare and unique. It carries an original Zographos label as well. The sofa measures 85 inches long by 23 inches deep and 28 inches tall.
For context, Nicos Zographos and his company (Zographos Designs ltd.) were prolific in shaping modern interiors, alongside Florence Knoll and others. His work is known for extraordinary craftsmanship and attention to detail. The metalwork is generally stainless and custom-fabricated, then hand finished or tubular chromed steel in the case of some chairs.

You can see estimated lead times under "Delivery", above.

Newly made items ship from a warehouse or are made-to-order. There may be a lead time depending on the piece. We'll keep you updated if there is.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.
