Designed in 1965 by Elio Martinelli, this iconic and collectible floor lamp is made using methacrylate molding techniques innovative for the time in which it was designed. The lamp's geometric shape and dynamism exemplify the 1960s as an important and formative time for Italian design.

The floor lamp measures 47.3 inches tall and 21.7 inches wide at its widest point.

The lamp's translucent shade casts direct light downward and diffuse light upward.

Two versions (white base/white shade and gold base/white shade) are still produced today by the original Italian manufacturer of the light, Martinelli Luce—the company founded by Elio Martinelli himself.
