Drop Box keeps work utensils near at hand, but is also useful in children's rooms, kitchens, living rooms, hallways or waiting rooms. Drop Box has a simple sturdy construction. Two side panels made of recycled plastic are joined together using aluminum tubes. The top tube serves as the handle. A structure of textile panels with welded seams is suspended on the remaining five tubes to form compartments. Despite its size, Drop Box is light and easy to handle. It comes in a choice of colors and can be quickly dismantled if required. Name tags for personalization are offered in various hues. The Drop Box Tray Set can be ordered separately and simply 'clicked' into place on two different levels.
Drop Box was designed by Konstantin Grcic. Grcic studied cabinetry making in London before working for designer Jasper Morrison. In 1991, Grcic opened his own practice, and by 1995 had received recognition for his Refolo trolley for Driade. Since then, he has continued to gain recognition for works such as Chair One for Magis (2004) and numerous lamps for Flos.
