Description

This is an outstanding set of eight Tucroma dining chairs, designed by Guido Faleschini for i4 Mariani in 1971. i4 Mariani is the specialty Italian design division of the Pace Collection. While this design has been relaunched into production after retirement due to high demand, locating a set of eight original examples is quite special.

The design features a round tubular steel frame that has been lacquered black, and the upholstery is done in a rich black leather. They incorporate hand-tooled leather belts and laces to secure the seats and backs to the frame, had has a semi-tufted vibe due to the leather-covered buttons. This double black iteration is super sleek and Is difficult to source.

Each chair measures 26 inches deep, 20.75 inches wide, and 33 inches high. They have a seat height of 20 inches and an arm height of 22.25 inches. They have a generous seat depth of 19 inches, allowing them to easily serve as a comfortable dining room chair or as a lounge chair. They remain in very good vintage condition. Please see photos.
