Description
This is pair of Toscana chairs, designed by Piero Sartogo and Nathalie Grenon for Saporiti Italia in 1986. Their design features a sculptural, curved back with burled Birdseye maple veneer, and has thick black lacquered trim. When pushed together, they form a charming two-seat settee.
Each chair measures 20 inches deep, 18 inches wide, and 33 inches high. They have a seat height of 18 inches. Their original fabric upholstery is undoubtedly in need of replacement. There is one small chip on the back of one chair at the top that can be remedied with a dab of wood filler. Overall, this pair of chairs is in good condition. Please see photos.
