Description
This is a Flat Bar Brno Armchair, Model 255, initially designed by Mies van der Rohe in 1930. These examples were manufactured by Knoll in the 2000s, and the listed price includes one chair. We have several of these pieces available for purchase in this colorway. They feature a cantilevered frame and have upholstered seats in high-end dark blue (looks black in some light) Italian leather. The frames are chromed steel.
Each chair measures 23 inches deep, 23 inches wide, and 31 inches tall. They have an arm height of 28 inches, and a seat height of 17 inches. These chairs have been previously used, having come to us from a corporate environment. They show some wear and patina to the leather. The leather appears black in some light, and navy blue in other light. It’s possible that the leather was midnight blue and has darkened with age, or that the black leather has lightened with age. There are some light scratches and scuffs on the arms and the bases. Overall, this set is in good condition with some wear. Please see photos.
