For the first time in its history, Emeco is using metal spinning—a challenging metal forming technique—to create the seats for Za. This design represents an important evolution in the history of Emeco's craft, technology and design.
The result is a family of stools in three heights, handcrafted from recycled aluminum and guaranteed for life. “Za” means “a place to sit” in Japanese – a name that speaks to the multi-functionality of a simple stool that can be used anywhere, indoors and outdoors. A simple and timeless stool, built for lifetimes of use, to be kept, cherished and passed on for generations.
