Description
This is a rare Saarinen Executive Chair, Model 68S, originally designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International in 1950. This example dates to the 1960s.This has many of the features of the more commonly seen model 71A, only this iteration omits the back seat vent. It features a chromed-steel 4-star swivel base on casters, and has pink upholstery with a small pattern.
The chair measures 24.25 inches deep, 27 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. It has an 18-inch seat height, and a 25-inch arm height. There is some fading to the fabric. The base has several scuffs and scratches, but presents nicely. Overall, this chair is in good vintage condition with signs of age apparent. Please see photos.
