Description

This is a Platner dining table, model 3716T, initially designed by Warren Platner for Knoll in 1966. This example dates to 2012. Its design features a base constructed with vertical steel rods that are welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods. It is truly a work of art. The custom top appears to be made from cream glass, with similar thickness and detailing to the Saarinen and Platner wood tops. This was a Knoll custom order for a hedge fund office. The office was full of incredible furniture, including quite a lot of recent production Poul Kjaerholm furniture.

The table measures 54 inches in diameter and has a height of 28 inches. The steel frame is in good shape, with a few small surface blemishes. The top has some light scratches and scuffs. Overall, this table is in very good condition with light wear. Please see photos.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.
