Description
This is a Wing chair by Carl Hansen, model CH445, originally designed in 1960 by Hans J. Wegner. At the time of its inception, only a few examples were produced. Carl Hansen & Søn relaunched the chair in 2006 because of relentless demand. This particular example dates to circa 2015 and came from a prominent bank's headquarters in New York (specifically the executive suite) along with numerous other Carl Hansen pieces such as the CH008 tables. The design features a fully-upholstered yellow fabric seat and back, with chromed steel legs. Wegner, who is often referred to as “the master of the chair”, created almost 500 chairs in his lifetime.
The chair measures 34.5 inches wide, 34.5 inches deep and is 40.6 inches high. It is in excellent condition with some wear from use. See photos. The chair is guaranteed as an authentic Carl Hansen product.
