Description

Listed for sale is a Mira Nakashima trestle dining table with a book-matched Myrtle Burl top, black walnut base, and set of seven rosewood butterflies. This is a monumental work by Mira Nakashima, noting how infrequently burls such as this are used in large dining tables such as this. The table was produced in 2010 and is signed underneath by Mira Nakashima. Within the top's figure, there are two exposed knots and dramatic variation in the grain. The table is accompanied by documentation from the Nakashima Studio from the order, along with a copy of the original drawing. The table measures 96 inches long by 46 inches wide and 29 inches tall.
It may go without saying that Mira Nakashima is one of the most influential designers and craftspeople of the late 20th and early 21st century. She carries on the legacy of her father, renowned designer George Nakashima. This trestle table was produced at the Nakashima Woodworking Studio in New Hope.

When do orders ship?

You can see estimated lead times under "Delivery", above.

Newly made items ship from a warehouse or are made-to-order. There may be a lead time depending on the piece. We'll keep you updated if there is.

Vintage items are all in-stock and ready to ship.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.

Freight shipments can take longer and are more costly than regular mail, but help to prevent damage to furniture during delivery.
