Description
The Laine barstooI, inspired by the art of stone setting, embodies the same precision. By combining traditional craft with new technology, four stainless steel ‘hands’ embrace a carved solid walnut seat in the same way a ring holds a jewel. These two materials meet with an exactness that is subtle yet stunning.
Laine is available with a walnut seat on a polished or brushed stainless steel base.
Laine was designed by industrial designer, Defne Koz. Her idea of design is influenced by her training in Ettore Sottsass’ studio in Milan, the combination of her Turkish and Italian culture, and her curiosity for very different product types. She is a partner of Koz Susani Design, based in Chicago, with Marco Susani, where she designs iconic, emotionally engaging, innovative award-winning products and experiences.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.
