Description
This is a Saarinen Executive Chair, Model 71 USB, designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll in 1950. These particular examples date to the 2000s. The listed price includes one chair, and two are available for purchase. Their design features legs of polished tubular stainless steel, and has an upholstered seat and back. They are currently upholstered in a green fabric.
The 71 USB measures 24.25 inches long, 26 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. It has an 18 inch seat height, and a 25 inch arm height. The legs and feet have early detailing and configuration. There are a few small spots on fabric that may be cleaned off. The fabric has worn away in one small spot on one armrest. There is no label, but both pieces have Knoll fabric on the bottom of their seats. The bases have a few errant scratches, but they present nicely. Overall, these chairs are in good condition with some wear apparent. Please see photos.
