Description
This is a pair of Cesca armchairs, model 50A, originally designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928. The listed price includes the pair of chairs. These examples were manufactured by Knoll circa 2010. The design features a tubular chromed-steel cantilever base, and has an upholstered molded plywood seat and back. Their upholstery is currently done in a soft black leather. The arms are padded and upholstered as well.
Each chair measures 23.5 inches long, 23.5 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. They have a seat height of 17.75 inches, and an arm height of 27 inches. The chromed-steel cantilever bases are in very good condition with no pitting. The black leather upholstery is also in very good condition, showing some slight signs of use. Overall, these chairs are in very good condition with light wear. Please see photos.
