Description

The FK 87 Grasshopper chair is a chaise longue in canvas with loose cushions and neck support in aniline leather. The frame is offered in chrome-plated or black powder-coated steel.

Grasshopper was designed by two Danish designers, Preben Juhl Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm. Fabricius and Kastholm met each other at the School of Interior Design. After working abroad for some years, they met again in 1960 and agreed upon the design philosophy of; Perfection, Aesthetics and Minimization. One year later, in 1961 they formed a partnership and founded an architect office.

Grasshopper was originally produced by Kill International in Germany. Since 2006, Lange Production has had the exclusive rights to manufacture a variety of Fabricius & Kastholm’s design collection. The furniture is produced at the original factory, and with the original tools as it was back in the 1960s. The entire production has been carried out in close collaboration between Lange Production and Jørgen Kastholm, to preserve and respect the authenticity and high quality of these classic design.

When do orders ship?

You can see estimated lead times under "Delivery", above.

Newly made items ship from a warehouse or are made-to-order. There may be a lead time depending on the piece. We'll keep you updated if there is.

Vintage items are all in-stock and ready to ship.

What is Freight shipping?

Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.

Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.
