Description
This is a Florence Knoll Executive Desk, Model 2485, initially designed by Florence Knoll for Knoll in 1954. This particular example dates to the 1960s based on the original 320 Park Avenue label, where Knoll had their showroom during that time. It features a lovely and original walnut top and has a chromed-steel X-base. The design offers two pencil drawers on each side that close seamlessly into the top’s edge. The piece can also be utilized as a conference table or Partner’s desk due to its generous size. Florence believed that a proper desk should “facilitate communication”, and this impressive yet simple design does just that.
This desk measures 38 inches deep, 72 inches wide, and is 29.25 inches high. The piece is in terrific original condition. There are some light marks to the wood top, and some small scuffs to the base. Overall, this piece is in very good condition with light wear. The finish actually appears to be original.
