Description
Foldable lounge chairs with a unique expression, and made to exacting standards from an intriguing mix of certified solid oak and stitched linen canvas. Available in a high and low back version, the solid oak frame and curved rear legs are shaped for stability. The back and seat, fitted with corresponding cushions, are upholstered in stitched linen canvas to provide an elegant expression and supreme sitting comfort. The adjustable backrest folds completely and saddle leather armrests complete the design, giving it a distinctive expression full of character.
The Plico chairs were designed by Fabricius & Kastholm. Danish designers Preben Juhl Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm met each other at the School of Interior Design. After working abroad for some years, they met again in 1960 and agreed upon the design philosophy of; Perfection, Aesthetics and Minimization. One year later, in 1961 they formed a partnership and founded an architect office. While Fabricius was an educated cabinetmaker, it was with Kastholm’s unique experience as a blacksmith that the obvious and usual choice of material would be steel.
