Description
This is a Two-Seat Sofa / Settee, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1978. The design is rather special as it is the last piece of furniture produced by the Eames Office, which completed the design after Charles’ death in 1978. It went into production in 1984, and this particular piece dates to 2007. The sofa features a polished, die-cast aluminum frame and legs, and has seat and back supports of finished walnut. The upholstery is done in a handsome dark brown leather.
The sofa measures 32 inches long, 55 inches wide, and 32 inches high. It has a seat height of 17.5 inches. The leather is soft and supple, and the walnut has taken on a warm hue. The legs have light wear, but may have an errant scratch we have not noted. Overall, this sofa is in very good condition with some typical wear. Please see photos.
