Description
This is an Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Management-Height Desk Chair, Model EA418, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1968. This example dates to 1989. Its design features a frame of polished aluminum and has smooth chocolate brown leather upholstery. The seat and back have plush cushions that are 2 inches thick.
The chair measures 24 inches long, 22.5 inches wide, and 32 inches high, adjustable to 34 inches. It has a minimum seat height of 18.5 inches that is adjustable to 20.5 inches. It has a seat depth of 16.5 inches. There is some wear apparent around the corners, especially at the left-hand side. The aluminum base has some light rubs and slight spots. The arms have been freshly polished. Overall, this chair is in very good vintage condition with light wear. Please see photos.
