Divina MD is an upholstery textile designed by Finn Sködt. Thanks to its smooth, directionless and consistent surface, it complements the shape of furniture very well and is ideal for organically shaped furniture. Divina MD’s full-bodied and subtle structure is ideal for bringing an extensive range of tones to life. Its colourways, which are all crafted from a blend of different tones, appear unicoloured from a distance, but reveal different colour nuances under closer examination.

The very durable upholstery fabric was originally designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel, and is now available in a version with an updated colour scale: Hallingdal 65. Hallingdal 65 is made of wool and viscose, which complement each other well: the wool provides excellent durability and flexibility, whilst the viscose adds brilliance and depth to the colour. Both materials are dyed before they are spun, which highlights the rich texture of the fabric.

Divina is a full-cloth product, which means that it is manufactured by weaving the yarn in a coarse linen hose casing, after which, it is subjected to mechanical processing using very high temperatures, at the same time as it is being coloured. This creates a situation where the surface becomes smooth, directionless and uniform in a manner very similar to the properties of felt.

An ultra-soft woven woollen bouclé, Baru feels like shorn fleece and has a comforting volume created by the elasticity of the wool fibre and the finishing processes. Yarn dyed with one colour in warp and another in weft, it has the benefits of a woollen textile but a softer feel. The texture of the bouclé coupled with a slight shine from the acrylic blend creates a playful effect as the colour catches the light. Minimal contrasts in the yarns produce strong hues such as midnight, forest green, maroon and dark chocolate, while a darker base adds depth. Softer shades of snow, light grey, ash, camel, vanilla and moss green have a mélange effect from the contrasting base.

Gentle is constructed by knitting loops through a base layer and subsequently shearing the surface. It has a particularly opulent feel as it is laminated on a 2mm PU foam with a polyester scrim backing. This ensures a voluminous expression that sets it apart from traditional woven velvets. Suitable for public and private spaces, Gentle offers excellent stretchability due to its knitted construction.

Description

Both aesthetic and highly functional, the Duo by Rafa García has been a staple in our catalogue since 2004. Now, the designer has boldly reinterpreted his creation, replacing it with Duo Mini & Duo Maxi.

Their sectional character gives them a flexible and versatile identity, accentuated by new sizes. The main differences between Mini & Maxi are the depth of the seat and the modules available. In addition, each of the modules can now be used independently and we have improved the finishes as every little detail counts.

Duo’s deep seat enables the playful use of scatter cushions or even extra back cushions.

Its hidden feet make its voluminous silhouette appear to float gracefully above the floor.

The Maxi version extends the width of some modules to create single-piece sofas with generous dimensions. Its wide selection of modules includes elements with or without arms, end and corner modules and a pouf. They can be combined in a variety of ways to create almost infinite configurations, ideal for open public spaces. Another new feature is the possibility of creating curved compositions.
