Description
This is a pair of DCW Dining Chairs in Calico Ash, originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1946. These are ultra-rare, early examples that were produced by the Evans Plywood Company. Both chairs retain their original Evans label, which is of the earliest label types, dating to C. 1946. The listed price includes both chairs to be sold together as a set.
Each chair measures 20.5 inches deep, 19.5 inches wide, and 29 inches high. Their seat height is 18 inches. The hardware appears to be original and shock mounts also appear original. The back of one is angled slightly in the photo, but that just needs adjusting with the screws on the back, so its not an issue. Overall, this important pair is in very nice vintage condition with some signs of wear. Please see photos.
