DCM Dining Chair (1948)
Made by Evans Products Company
Listed for sale is an original set of four DCM chairs, designed by Charles and Ray Eames. This particular set dates to approximately 1948 and was produced by Evans plywood company (the earliest manufacturer of these chairs). Notable also is that they were specified in Walnut, which contrasts the metal legs beautifully. These chairs retain their original feet, shock mounts (some may have been replaced during their lifetime), and screws. The walnut panels may show some wear. Please see photos. Their Evans production can be confirmed based primarily on the feet and headrest connection. Only early Evans examples had this round, circular detail connecting the backrest to the frames.
