Description
Probably the most well-known of Finn Juhl’s chairs and one of his most iconic masterpieces, the Chieftain Chair represents the peak of his career as a furniture designer. With its bold volume and characteristic shapes, the chair draws inspiration from foreign cultures and primitive weaponry. At its introduction in 1949, the chair marked a renewal of the Danish furniture design tradition and today, it is regarded as one of the most important exponents of the Danish Modern movement. The chair is upholstered by hand in Denmark in selected, exclusive leather types. The frame is available in oak or walnut.

- Larger items including furniture often ship on a truck via Freight. Our furniture shippers professionally arrange and manage all Freight shipments.

- Freight costs may include insurance.
Do you deliver to NYC?
Yes, in-stock items can often be delivered to NYC quickly by our skilled couriers. Pieces are delivered by hand to your residence. This typically takes 1-2 weeks for items stocked at our warehouse in PA.
What is Freight shipping?
Freight shipping is how most furniture is shipped: secured by hand on a pallet and transported on a truck.
Furniture arrives curbside, often on the shipping pallet for protection.
Freight shipments can take longer and are more costly than regular mail, but help to prevent damage to furniture during delivery.
