This is a single Wing chair, model CH445, originally designed in 1960 by Hans J. Wegner. At the time of its inception, only a few examples were produced. Carl Hansen & Søn relaunched the chair in 2006 because of relentless demand. This particular example dates to circa 2015 and came from a prominent bank's headquarters in New York (specifically the executive suite) along with numerous other Carl Hansen pieces such as the CH008 tables. The design features a fully-upholstered navy blue fabric seat and back, with chromed steel legs. Wegner, who is often referred to as “the master of the chair”, created almost 500 chairs in his lifetime.
