Description
This is a Florence Knoll Partners Desk or Executive Table, Model 2485, designed in 1961. It was manufactured in the early 1960s by Knoll International based on the 320 Park Avenue label, where their showroom was during that time. It features a Brazilian rosewood top that sits on a chromed-steel 4 star base. Florence designed this piece to serve both as a large desk, and also as a work table to promote collaboration. The design’s dimensions also render the piece appropriate for use as a dining table if desired.
The table measures 72 inches long, 28.25 inches high, and 38 inches deep. This table is in very good vintage condition, and was clearly well cared for. The wood does have some small signs of age, and the chrome base has some errant scratches when looking closely. Please see photos.
